About NoCO ENERGY STAR Homes

The mission of Northern Colorado ENERGY STAR® Homes is to transform the regional new home market to high-performance construction, using an educational, market-based approach targeting consumers, builders, trade allies and other stakeholders.

NoCO ENERGY STAR Homes is supported by a coalition of regional sponsors, including towns, cities, utilities and a county, working closely with the national ENERGY STAR New Homes program and the Colorado Governors Energy Office.

Sponsors support Northern Colorado ENERGY STAR Homes for several reasons:

  • Reducing energy use is at the heart of sustainability and green building.
  • Energy savings, over the many-decade life of a home, are most cost-effectively captured at time of construction. This is in everyone's interest.
