Buy an ENERGY STAR qualified new home and get a better deal on your mortgage!
Bank of Colorado and the Colorado Governor's Energy Office (GEO) are partnering with the Northern Colorado ENERGY STAR Homes program to offer the Colorado ENERGY STAR Mortgage.
The bank and GEO are together underwriting a total of one "discount point" that you can use to access a lower interest rate on your new home loan. This means savings every month over the term of the mortgage.
This currently is being offered as a pilot program. Under the current schedule, loans written on this program must be closed by December 31, 2009. It is anticipated the program will be extended.
